April News 2025

Academic Focus

Practicing a skill is how we improve. A musical instrument, basketball, math equations, reading, painting, drawing, welding, driving, and all other skills will improve with practice. It is best to practice for 20-minutes over the course of several days, each week, to experience growth.

Celebrations

  1. End-of-Year Testing has started smoothly and scholars are using the tools like dictionary, text-to-speech, and marking items for review!

  2. Lots of scholars are leaving their phones and other distractions at home OR making sure all distractions are off and stored in a backpack prior to entering the classroom!

  3. The Safety Team recently trained on Reunification and will be helping the full staff understand an ideal Reunification scenario in early April!

  4. Colorado State University brought "The Little Shop of Physics" to our school and scholars enjoyed the hands-on science experiments or experiences!

Safety Spot:

Reunification is when parents must pick up their scholar in a formalized, controlled release. Reunification may be necessary due to weather, a power outage, or other danger. We have a protocol in place to make the process more predictable and less chaotic for all involved. Please review this Standard Reunification Method for Parents.
